MHA CIRCUIT MISSION PROJECT 2010 / 2011

A new MHA project is being developed in Bristol
at Kellaway Avenue, Horfield. The Home will have 22 one and two bedroom flats, 29 Dementia suites and 25 Nursing suites, all having access to grounds or a balcony.
Facilities will include a hair salon, shop and coffee shop.
A volunteer support group will be set up to provide help such as fundraising and the befriending of residents.

The equivalent of about 70 full-time jobs will be created.

Work on the site is well under way and the planned date for the handover of the Home is the 29th November 2010 with the first residents being housed soon after that.
To register an interest and for further information telephone MHA in Derby on 01332 296200.

It is hoped that local Churches will provide support to the project, which has been chosen as the Circuit Charity Money for 2010-11 and money raised will provide 'extras' for the Home which will improve the quality of life for the residents. These can include chaplaincy, garden accessories, reflexology, music therapy among others.

Please support this cause and money raised should be paid to the Circuit via the Office.

Please pray for the new Home as it develops and also for Hartcliffe Nursing Home, Abona Court, Sea Mills, and Terrill Court, Clifton, all MHA projects in the Circuit.

NETWORK NEWS

We have a new District Project, which we have supported before in 2004/5. It has strong links to South Bristol and John Seward is willing to talk to meetings about it. He was the speaker at Made for Ever in March.
The name of the project is Crossroads for Human Development -India
The money this time is going to the sewing centre. We have advertised John's talk as being about "untouchables" and the centre does help Dalit women from this caste but others as well.

I am now  standing down as Co-ordinator for the Circuit. I agreed to be Co-ordinator for a limited period only. I am Vice President for the District and will be Inducted as President at Longwell Green in October, so I feel now is the right time to stand down.

It is crucial that Christians are willing to learn about their faith and about growing in service.
Wesley College in Bristol has offered a very special and wide range of opportunities for training for over 40 years, and, incredibly, it to be closed!
